Regina King recently raised the argument that we as black women still have not become completely comfortable dating outside our race.I recently did a survey on a group of black women regarding their reasons for not dating men who are not of color. Some women think this is problematic because the wealth should stay within the Black community, where it is greatly needed.Others feel Black men should want to celebrate becoming a success with the same kind of woman who was likely supportive of them before they made it big — a Black woman. T golfer Tiger Woods married Swedish model Elin Nordegren in 2004.Well, female Black celebrities developing longterm with relationships with white male is nothing new.To prove that point, we at Hip-Hop Wired found 18 African-American ladies that are generally in the company of the Caucasian persuasion.Several famous white men are or have been married to black women.Proving that love sees no color, some of the most well-known and powerful duos are of mixed races.
Case in point, the recent marriage of rapper/actress Eve.
Following the announcement of her nuptials with Gumball 3000 creator Maximillion Cooper, the Twittersphere went into a frenzy with varied reactions.
Some of it was hate and some of was desire to follow in her footsteps to what some perceived to be a beard/sugar daddy relationship.
We are praised for our assests by the black men who love us. In the white community this has been the complete opposite. This is naturally engrained in both African American and Caucasian people’s subconscious.
It has been known that the bigger the backside the better. Many studies show that black men prefer woman with curves and white men prefer women who are thin.
